Lost keys!

Hey just wondering i want to take my car to the mechanic tomorrow to get the engine sorted out and i lost my f**king keys. Is there a way to start it to get it tohim and hopefully he can put in a new barrel and i can get a new key.

Why not just get your spare key out from it's hiding spot ??

If you have no spare, the only way you can get it going is by towing to a Holden Dealer to cut a new key and code the keyhead to suit your imobiliser.

You could try taking your rego papers and drivers licence to a holden dealer, they "might" cut you a kew ignition key,they should be able to access your cars ignition key pattern number online using your cars VIN, and then get a new ignition key cut from that.
Then once you have got the ignition key cut, you can leave the ignition key turned on for 45 minutes for series 1 VS, or 120 minutes for series 2 VS models, this will bypass the immobiliser and allow the car to be driven to holden where they can then program a new ignition keyfob (or keyhead) to suit your immobiliser.

Or you can use a hammer to break your window and then bypass the immobiliser and hot wire it? I remember hearing years ago when they first came out they were still pretty easy to steal...

Just go to holden and get the key code. I didnt even need proof of ownership when I did.

You need to be 100% sure that the car has not been re-keyed though. Holdens key code is only good if the car still has the same keys and locks it came with from the factory. If your car has (for whatever reason) been re-keyed, the only other option is breaking into the car, taking the drivers door card off and taking your drivers door lock barrel to a locksmith.

To break in, dont smash a window or wreck your tail lights trying to get in that way, use a steel ruler with slots cut in the side to hook the linkage inside your door.
