Alright so I've noticed this problem pretty much since i installed my sound system and i haven't been bothered to fix it. What happens is overnight i have to wrap my amp in a sheet because it somehow gets wet with condensation? Ok the boot doesn't actually have leaks in it from the outside that i can see, I've looked underneath but it seems fine.. But it obviously does because every morning the sheet is wet and my amp still has a little condensation on the bottom of it. I just don't want to have to buy a new amp because of water damage. This only happens on one side too.. Is this a common problem with commodores? =/
Yeah the boots leak quite often, I know there is a few post on here explaining how to fix it, and its not all that hard to do.
Have a go at the search bar and see what it brings up?
good luck
Usually there's two places where water leaks into the boot from (apart from obvious damage to the boot seal); the rear quarter window seals and the taillights. If you get in the boot with a torch and the lid closed while someone pours water or soaks the boot for a few mins you should see it coming from one or both places. It'll either leak near the lights or come down over the wheel arches from the rear quarter windows.
To fix the taillights you can buy new ones or take them out and use silicone to seal them. To fix the quarter windows you have to basically strip out the back half of the car to remove and re-seal the windows.

I'd go with sealing around the tailights first, I was getting overnight condensation in the boot in colder parts of the year and I put a bead of silicon all around the tailights, bootlid lights and garnish and also all the extra holes for different sized number plates, and the holes I use for my plates then did the screw up through the wet silicon. Hasnt' leaked or had any condensation for going on about 3 months now. Also do the screw holes if you have a spoiler.
