Im about to mount my fiberglass vr clubby rear bar on to my vr but not sure if my mount points will be strong enuf. Im going to use the top part with some screws(same as stock bar) and two screws in the wheel arch. Will this be good enuf for mounting points?
Cheers
Yep. You may also want to install a brace from the frame to the bottom leading edge of the bar, to stop the bar from collapsing inwards. Dont do this and the weight of the bar will cause the bar to twist inwards, opening the gaps between the body and the top of the bar.
Note: on the picture below, its not screwed up against the frame. The result is that there is a bit of a gap between the body and the top of the bar. I've left it this way for now so that when I paint the bar, some paint gets into the gaps. When I am happy with the paint, I will pull the bar out further and screw the brace onto the frame, closing the gap on top..
