My son is having dramas with the blinker stalk on his VR Berlina, with the cruise control in particular. He's ordered a new one but is having issues removing the cover off the steering column... any advice on the best way to get it off besides breaking the damn thing![]()

- UNDERSTEER is when you hit the wall with the front of the car.
- OVERSTEER is when you hit the wall with the rear.
- HORSEPOWER is how fast you hit the wall.
- TORQUE is how far you take the wall with you.
remove all the screws from underneath the cover (there is four or five).
will then need to manuovere the bottom cover around the ignition barrel.
as above^^^^
remove the screws in the bottom of the cover holding the 2 halves together, then it may take some gentle persuasion to seperate the halves cos from memory theres some plastic tabs holding them together. no drama if they break cos the screws will hold it together just fine
Thanks guys. He got it off without a lot of drama. Just waiting for the new one to arrive. Hopefully that will resolve the cruise control problems.
