Need help this is doing my head in =( Recently just installed a dvd head deck last week had problems with the wires touching metal which blew the interior lighting, but that got sorted out pretty quickly. Sunday the rca's werent in and put them in, put everything back together and had the same problem as before and aswell as the trip comp fuse. changed the fuses and everything worked, turned off the car n went to turn it back on n had no reds and engine doesnt wont to start at all. Had a auto electrician come out today and he couldnt find the problem.. everything else works inside the car, doors lock, headlights even the head deck just have no reds n no start.. Any one help please???
Make sure the key head is making proper contact with the key reader when the key is inserted in the ignition keyhole....also try pressing 'unlock' just before you turn the key. Is the central locking working?

^^^^ what hako said above and also try replacing the ignition relay
yeh central locking is working fine =(
Did you check for codes?
Bridge pins 5&6 on the diagnostic connector.
will def be checking that 2moro =)
sounds dumb but.. have you checked the battery? like tested it for volts etc
Probably a bit late, but next time try to cover all exposed wires with insulation tape and never, i repeat NEVER, work on anything electrical in your car with the battery connected. Seen too many people come to grief with blown fuses/computers because of that.
Do you get any dash lights when you turn the ignition to ACC? Does the fuel pump wirr away?

look at the fuses under the steering colum i had thos problem once and it was just a blown ignition fuse...
My brother had some issues with his VR where the dash would light up but the car wouldn't even try to start (as in starter motor would NOT engage). Problem turned out to be the Crank Angle Sensor. Just a possibility. Does yours start some days and not others? or will it start in the morning and you drive somewhere, hop out, get back in and it wont start again? If so I think Crank Angle Sensor might be a contender.
