    Default Over reving commodore

Hi Guy's, I'm a newbie, my problem is my vs commodore over revs when the engine has warmed up. I'ts fine when i start it up in the morning, the idle drops back and every things fine but when i kill the engine after I'ts been driven for a while and restart it, it over revs like crazy and the idle won't drop back, so what I've been doing is to turn the motor off again and restart until I'ts back to normal idle, so what the hell is goin on !!!!!! any help appreciated thanks.

Check for any logged error codes to make sure everything is ok with the engine management systems etc.. Below is a link to a post that shows you how to do this simple error check.

Sounds like your TPS might be sticking and the motor is staying on idle enrichment. Clean the throttlebody and make sure the cable is properly adjusted

Sometimes an ECU reset can fix all sorts of problems, disconnect the battery for 15 seconds and see how that goes.
