VS Won't Start!

Hey guy's, i'v got a 95 VS Commodore Executive, its broke down 2 days ago. From what I can tell I think the fuel pump is dead. Here's why I think that :

1. Car will crank and rev to 1000rpm or a bit more, then die.
2. When you put the key on second click the fuel pump(so i think it is) moans for 10times aslong as its sposed to, usually it moans for 2secs when u first turn on the car.

Just wondering if you guys can confirm that it'd be the fuel pump? cheers.

yeah its the fuel pump matem, i didnt have that problem with a commodore but my old lancer semed to have done the same, i am 99% sure, it starts up becasue the fuel pupm is only able to pump fuel once then dies, if there is no 2 sec wine then its definitly the pump, they need to be changed regulary anyways every around 3-4 years *i fink *

I had this problem on my vn. Yer it was my fuel pump on the tank. To get me home the RACQ fella tapped the swirl pot with a metal bar and it started so luckily i got home. Cast me like $250 to get it replaced with a new one

Got the fuel pump for $97, Goss brand .. model : GE-033. Getting it installed monday, i'll let you guys know what happens.

Woohoo, replaced the fuel pump and off she went thx for reassuring it was the problem.
