    Default VS Dash Not Working.

So the problem is that the speedometer, odometer and trip gauge aren't working, it's a L2 dash I took it out to replace a blown illumination bulb and I've already looked at this guide, found a broken copper track and done the exact same fix but still no dice.

Have you replaced the small cog in the speedo head? if it has lost a tooth the kms wont count up.

No, it was working perfectly fine before I replaced the illumination bulb, I haven't gone that far to have the cluster in pieces everywhere.

Just get another one from the wreckers and match the kms to the old one with a needle. Carefully click the little teeth up or down on the side of each number.

I could always try that, hopefully it wouldn't be too much though.
Whilst driving once I banged the top of the dash and the needle was jumping, so I don't think it could be the gears..
I've done very similar to the picture on the How-To with the tape and aluminium foil, and it looks like it's making contact on the connection.

I'd pull it out again and reinstall making sure every connector is fully pushed home. Disconnect the battery first!.

Took it up the road today and the speedo/odo STILL isn't working, I'm heading towards the speed sensor now.
So where can I locate the speed sensor?

The teeth on the side of each number on an electronic dash? You may want to rethink that one lol

Once you take that white gear out you can just wind the odo back and forth..

Is this an auto? One would think if the speed sensor was not working the gearbox would not work.

Yeah it's an auto, I'm pretty stumped on where the speed sensor would be or the exact problem is.

If the problem happened after you replaced the bulb then the cluster is at fault.

Long bump but I thought I'd update with good news.
The speedo is now working after a few more attempts of that guide about the broken tracks fix, here are the results and now the speedometer, odometer and trip meter are all working again perfectly.
It turned out to be two of the tracks.
