Default Sick to death of getting wet!

    Hi all.

Finally decided it's time to do something 'bout this and i'm looking for ideas.

    Scenario.

Driving along, it's raining, drivers window down (doesn't matter wether right down or just an inch), everytime the wipers wipe the windscreen all the water comes in and lands on arm rest, speaker surround or my f**kin' leg.

I've had the same thing with all my Commodores (VN-VS) and after the last few days it's REALLY f**ked me off lol.

So has anyone got any fixes?

    cheeRS.

Holden 4dr Berlina / Calais 88-97 Slimline Weathershields VN VP VR VS Tailored New Weather Shields from $79.99 FREE shipping

That should help with the issue.

PS, I have the same issue with the VZ.

If I'm driving along on a warm night and clean up a massive moth, when I use the windscreen washers the wipers push the water to the side and it drips into the cabin right onto the rear view mirror control unit. lol.

    Ummm...close the window ?

And if you want air circulating just run your fan ?

Happens to me too...drips right onto the rear view mirror controls. Must have a water magnet in it because it rarely seems to land anywhere else.

I'd shut the window myself. Lucky we have these great forums that have the answers to life's problems huh?

Holden's must know of the problem,
after all they do extensive wind tunnel testing in ALL conditions....dont they?
at there 25 million dollar test facility in the Middle of the Simpson desert.................................

or maybe they just keep the window closed in the wind tunnel
If you are busy doing nothing, how do you know when you are finished?

Get the slimline weather shield, I have one on and it doesn't look as bad as the big ones, I got one thats tinted so it blends in, and was only $10. I always thought it was a big design fault esp. when cleaning the windscreen while driving then one day it just clicked in my head that it was prob intended to be like that and windows should be up when raining/ using wiper jets... On a funnier note one of my old boss reckoned the weather shield was invented purely so you could smoke while driving in the rain.

i usually just live with it, holden should make a less "try to annihilate water" windscreen wipers, and try for more "lets just clear the water off" style. lol

Why not talk to a window fitter such as Obrien etc. They can supply and fit a plastic/rubber bead under the sides of the front window rubber seal which forms a lip and stops the water wrapping around the A pillar and into your open window. Given this lip runs all the way up the window side, the water flows back up over the roof instead.
Sorry don't have any pics to explain it better.

I put aftermarket jets on mine and angle one hole from each to spray right over the roof and into the face of jerks who tailgate... bit off the topic but I thought while we were talking bout wipers...
