can anyone help me with instructions to remove/install vs 6cyl fuel pump??? cheers
In all Honesty mate, Id Suggest Getting a gregorys for youself, Pretty much everything you need to know about your car will be in it, can pick them up from almost any store with a automotive section. will cost you about $40. Then all the infomation you need is right at your fingertips.
Welome to the forum.
Try these links and also do a search....not sure if there is a "How-to" but I'd also look in that section. As Rokhet says, a Gregorys manual is money well spent.

Seriously, this isnt too hard of a job. I just bought a pump and gasket(for the tank) and started undoing stuff. Theres a circle of bolts around the plate that holds in the sender and pump unit. It comes out about an inch, then you gotta take off the rubber internal line connected to the inside of the plate (i just used plyers to undo the clamp on the hose). Undo them and just twist is side to side until it comes out.
I shoved a peice of long fencing wire up the internal hose you take off so i didnt lose it in the tank.
make sure u use all the fuel in the car first unless you want a mess lol but yeh take the fuel pump fuse out from under the bonnet and start the car untill it dies then start it again and make sure you have a little throttle on. this depressureises the fuel system and then put fuse back in and then undo the BATTERY so nothing sparks cause sparks and fuel dont mix lol undo all wiring off pump and move it as far away as possible where fuel wont get in connectors.. then undo fuel lines and let the fuel drip out in a container if you want (just less mess and dont wanna be working with fuel everywhere) then undo the plate and pull the pump out a little like vrwags21 said and didnt think of putting wire in the hose but good idea to do it then you gotter wiggle the pump around a little to get it out.. should be all out by now and then use reverse to re install it.. bit of a bitch trying to put it back in tho getting it into the right place..
cheers mate thanks for the info appreciated
