    Default T5 speedo issues

    Hi All,

I have a T5 in my VS, and the speedo drive is leaking thru the centre into the speedo sender. I have had it apart and can't see what seals the drive. Only an issue as it keeps filling the sender with oil, then it stops working. I kind of like to have a speedo as I do travel a fair way to work each day, down a very well policed Rd.
    Any help much appreciated, Anthony.

just work out rpm vs speeds to keep track while it not working. tho the engine light may come on and hard to keep track of km for servicing when it not working. can try find one at a wreckers but very doubtful. t5's are getting rare these days. someone once told me the auto was the same but cant be sure!

I believe you can find them in automatics, my memory fails me but it may be the VR or VS S1 that uses the same speedo sender as the manual T5. Mine leaks fluid out of the sender as well, if you find a solution let me know.

The auto ones are different, and talking to a mate at holden, and looking in the manuals, appears the seal is actually between the sender and the speedo unit.
