hey guys
got any ideas about where to put a sub and how to mount it in the cab of a vs ute
slim line build in amp between seats
Can get the slimlines that fit under the seats or the box made up that sits between the two seats (If you have a 2 seater and not column shift).
Failing that have you looked into putting it next to the fuel tank in the tray? I think that is the most common and practical place to put them if you're not running a long range fuel tank. Can also squeeze bigger sub in that area too.
above pic stooged from another member on this site!
i got a two seater think i will go with the box between seats like the pic
thnx mate good info
Put it in the tray you wont regret it. There is alot more room in there than you think. That one above is a very ordinary attempt :/
yeah i will think about were to put them, do they go good in the long range fuel tank space
How in gods name could you drive with a 12" sub beside your head??

I need some statesman/ calais woodgrain for drivers side panel!!
if u have the money get a ported box made that sits next to the fuel tank
Make a custom box (if you no how to do it yourself) and put it between your seats about shoulder level. did it with my fusion 1000w sounds amazing in the cab =D
^^arent you deaf? ^^ or at least in your left ear
I made a custom box to fit my Pioneer 12" sub next to the fuel tank and it sounds awesome. Remove the passenger side service holes and the bass is directed straight into the cab with no loss of cab space. Also doesn't advertise that you've got a sub to thieves. The only problem is you get a bit of fuel smell from time to time. I've seen a few designs that port straight into the cab using PVC to fit nicely into the service hole so it is kind of like the sub is in an extension of the cab which will eliminate the fuel smell.
For an idea of how to make the box to fit a 12" next to the fuel tank check this out: VG to VS ute Subwoofer enclosure with measurements (D.I.Y)
could you repeat that i culdnt quite hear you? nah kiddin but yea youd be suprised how good it sounds right there beside ya. but um yea like you wouldnt drive aound for 2 hours with it blastn full volume thatd be stupid haha
between the seats is crap sound cancelation.. un social, encouraging theft. waste of space.....CRAP... pop the tray floor out build a 25 lt box to suit the floor contur have the sub facing the cab but leave a 2 inch gap build a wedge open at the rear to meet the sub box cut two 4 or 5 inch holes in the front face to meet up th the wo inspection points on the back wall of the cab remove the IP covers use weather striping to seal joins..... takes up 0 space.... creates no cancelation....pushes a crazy amount off clean bass in to cab..... only way to do it dont waste time trying other methods i did pointless think you can get plans for box on ebay....
