Default Difference between VR Exec and VN S brake booster?

Title pretty much says it all.

    Any difference between the two?

Will the VN S booster even fit onto the VR?

I'm pretty sure from memory that the VN S' had the V8 booster. So how would that change the pedal feel compared to the VR exec?

People are too obsessed with how much "power" their car makes....it doesn't make power, it produces torque, from which this mythical "power" figure is calculated.

from memory i didnt think the booster was that different altho the the vr may be plastic. the vn s had a larger diameter master cylinder than the stock vn, the vn s front calipers were also larger (v8) tho the vr has this size front brakes standard... hence vn s had 15" wheels along with vp and vr. vn v6 non 's' had only 14" wheels

in answer to your question probly not gonna make much diff if goin vn s to vr or vice versa! maybe save 500grams in weight?!?

Same as any car, just take extra car to not let the resovoir run dry, or u could have drama. VS had the plactic booter and is weaker then VN-R boosters. From memory, theres only 2 types VN-R, a V6 one that was smaller then the V8 one. As for performance difference, negligble. If u want better brakes do what I and many others have done, VT-Z booster n master conversion.

But I only just bought the car, and I want to check there's no air in it. Because it feels like there is in the pedal.

As for the VT-VZ booster and MC. Does it fit? Is it straight bolt up on to the VR?

    What difference will it make?

No its not a straight fit. See my thread on it for instructions on how to fit it. It is a good upgrade. I did the front rotors and clipers to VT spec aswell. I have been told thta just swapping the booster and leaving the stock brakes is still a good upgrade.

Type of pads you buy to suit the driving style is pretty important.....Ive worked out in my travels if you want it to stop well you have to give some rotor life away and use more aggressive pads and cop some added brake dust on your front wheels but that isnt a issue if your car actually stops well.
Vt booster/master upgrade even to stock brakes disc calipers makes the world of difference to pedal travel, feel and stopping ability but Im a little bit biased....my vh with the vp style brakes vn disc rear and vt booster etc stops better than my vz with stock brakes but there is a weight difference.
This is my vr that I rebuilt ....CLICK HERE to see my vr on Cardomain ......if you want to check it out......Anyway make sure you rubbish a ford daily ....I am a 4DH8RZ Club lifetime member .................new members joining everyday
