Took off for a drive the other day and the back end started virbrating/shaking... Under foot the back end just goes nuts, shakes the whole car. Grabed one of my wheels at the back, pulled and pushed it and there was movement.. What should I do? Its not safe to drive, at say 50kms you can feel it virbrating so its not just under foot...its just a lot worse when you give it a bit.
Should be no movement.
Are the nuts loose?
Have you been swapping wheels?

check to make sure the wheel nuts are all tight, otherwise shake the car side to side and if you can see the car moving over the diff then its done the panhard bushes, if it moves backwards and fowards then chances are it needs either upper or lower trailing arm bushes or both
Check the wheel studs to see if any have broken as well. If so, best to not drive the car until it is fixed.
Had the same thing with my VS very early on. it was the rear axel upper trailing bar bushes. They were stuffed. replaced them with new ones and it was good as gold again.
Can you push the rear of your car (when it is on the ground) and the rear end moves side to side?
Might be a good chance to change them to some better quality ones (Nolathane etc)
Oh and mine is a live axel VS, not sure if yours is the same or not.

Havent changed wheels for a few months. Jacked the back end up and took the wheels off..Jumped in and drove the car... it shakes without the wheels as well, its not as bad though (thinking because less weight on the diff etc..) Wednesday Its going into the mechanics, they have a look at it for me..Wont cost me a cent unless they fix it. Its handy knowing people i guess. Thanks for your help guys, ill let you know what the problem is.
