This is my 96 executive that i got this time last year on my L-plates. it has a getrag 5 speed and spac wheels and spoiler, which i think suits it and dont plan on changing, as well as cruise control. it has redback extractors and 2.5" system, it sounds fat for a vs 6 cylinder. way different to all the ones you hear with pacies. it also came with MSD coils and adjustable koni shocks which i havent bothered with so far.
the other cars are my mates, a 98 vs ute and an 05 sv6 manual.
around april this year number 6 big end span on the crank and starting knocking really bad and with help from my father i took the motor out and gave it a freshen up, hone, rings and lapped the valves while the crank was being ground and a new rod being sourcedAttachment 128574 at PLR in brendale. i found peices of my rooted timing chain tensioner in my oil pickup so i replaced that with a rollmaster double row. it also copped a stage one comp cam and 100# crow cam valve springs. also replaced the clutch with a solid exedy and the flywheel was welded by the previous owner but i couldnt afford to machine it, and little stuff like new plugs and leads.

it started first time (didnt depressurise the fuel system i guess) and it sounds sweet for a 6. since then ive done a few things like put in an lsd which regretfully i didnt shim and does the odd peg unless dumped, or in the wet. and i dodgily wired in an oil pressure gauge in the ac vent in the dash which caused my dash lights to blow, but i fixed that and wired in a switch for my engine fan at the same time, cool as.
