    Default VR Cruise Control Issues??

    Hi All,

my cruise control has just started playing up, 95 VR Acclaim V6 Auto

    symptoms are...
1.) flicking the lights up to high beam sometimes increases the speed
2.) after using the brake to cancel the cruise control, sometimes when i accelerate it will resume - not nice when your in a town at 50km/h and it takes off looking for 110km/h

it only started on my last trip. i initially thought it might be the indicator / cruise stalk but the 2nd symptom doesn't really fit with this.

any ideas or help would be most appreciated.

    Tony.

I'd suggest taking the fuse out for the time being!

A new stalk should fix the problem.

The car I am stripping has cruise.

possibly the bcm playing up, they sometimes suffer dry joints internally, everything else on the car working properly? interior light, exterior lights, wipers etc etc?

When switching to high beam it plays up suggests it is at the stalk not the BCM.

I would be looking at the stalk before going near the BCM.

Not sure as the car is not running. I would have to put into the other car to find out, or is there another way to test it?

Not many manuals with cruise though lol
