95 vs Calais won't start

Hey all I tried to start my Calais today and the it didn't start, when I tried to turn it off the dash lights ststayed on and even if I removed the battery the lights turn on as soon as I reconnect the terminals
Any help would be appreciated

more info does it have a aftermarket alarm have you done any work on the car recently ?

Nah Just a new battery

Sounds like the ignition switch at the end of the barrel is broken or the barrel is....

Yea ok but the keyless entry won't work

When the reds are on in the dash or when the car is running that will not work.
Boot release is on a differnt sensor.....
