    Default Heater pipe O rings

Where do you guys buy the O rings that go on the heater pipes which lead to the lower intake manifold on the ecotec? Mine seem to need replacing every time I pull the thing apart. Do we just have to go into holden spare parts and bend over every time?

I've tried the black RTV, that didnt last 5 seconds. I might just have to get the genuine ones and then order a bunch of them from a rubber manufacturer for the inevitable next time(s).

I went through this last weekend. I bought a VRS gasket kit because I needed to change my inlet manifold gaskets. The smaller heater pipe O ring in the gasket kit would not seal, it kept rolling off as I pushed the pipe in. It was thicker than the genuine one I ended up getting.

Anyway, the bloke at the Holden Spares place told me that the orange coating on the genuine O ring melts to help form a seal. He said this is probably why they are so expensive. So it may not be a good idea to just buy a bunch of O rings from just anywhere.

    Cheers

Why do you keep pulling it apart?
I got them both for $15 from holden when I did my manifold gaskets.

The other one is 24502846. Just ordered both of them. I figured for the sake of 12 bucks I dont want to risk the RTV blowing out and dumping the coolant.
