    Default Please help trying to fit a v belt without compressor

    Hi

    i am trying to fit a shorter drive belt to my holden vs ecotec dont use aircon so was going to bypass the compressor and cant figure out how it goes on
    any diagrams would be awesome
    belt is a 6pk2230

    I think you have to remove the idler on the left of the air-con pulley, and then its identical except the belt goes from the top-right idler to the crankshaft. I think.

    Hi, I have a VS Commodore, the A/C pump s##t itself today (sparks coming from front of A/C pump, what I am wanting to find out is will I have to remove the bottom idler pully? Also whats the difference between VR and VS Commodiore belts? Thanks....

    did you look at the picture it shows that the idler needs to be removed.

    id say there would be a big difference in belts as the theyreare different motors

    Yep, looked at the pic, took the bottom idler pully off, belt fitted, all cool. Temporarly saved some $'s, tried turning the a/c pully by hand, it turns but is hard. How much roughly for a 2nd hand a/c pump?
