I had the same problem after replacing my door trim, mine was because the little red bit on the lock thingy sticks out and catches when the lock tries to go down, you can jimmy it out with a screwdriver and push it back in to see if it sits properly and works, don't be suprised if it breaks though, they're cheap to replace so don't stress if you do

I've had it happen to a couple of commys I've owned, without having removed the trim. Pretty common problem though for central locking to play up, so someone on here should be able to help. Sorry I can't help you, I never bothered fixing it on any of them. Daily drivers, ftw.

I also had the same Issue with the red clip catching, pushed it back in and has been fine since.

this would be your best bet, just puss the little red tab on the button, should do the trick.

Don`t jimmy them out use a small hook type tool pick eather side gently you can get behind them and they release.
Then you can adjust them down abit so the red bit is just pass the trim push in red tab mine has been fine.
    Hope that makes sence.
I work for a dealership and they don`t have the red tips anymore. You would have to buy the whole button which only come in black. I know because I got some spares.

Here is a pic I took. You can see where to hook the red tag out without damaging it.
