little help with key barrel

i want to skip the key barrel all together for the time being just so i know if its the barrel stopping the car from turning over like i did on my vc when the ignition was f'd

i dont know if it will be as easy since it has a built it imobilizer

any info that will help me do this would be awesome.

you can do anything if you know how it works. i dont entirely, but i do vaguely recall that the bcm has to interrogate the immobiliser thing in the key and get the correct reply before it allows the vehicle to start. look into that otherwise you could waste alot of time.
