i want to skip the key barrel all together for the time being just so i know if its the barrel stopping the car from turning over like i did on my vc when the ignition was f'd

you can do anything if you know how it works. i dont entirely, but i do vaguely recall that the bcm has to interrogate the immobiliser thing in the key and get the correct reply before it allows the vehicle to start. look into that otherwise you could waste alot of time.
Stuntmanmike: At least he didn't advise for me to check the head light fluid and bring it in to tune the radio...
