VS SS cutting out randomly and not starting

Hey i have read a few other sites forums but think this is the best place to get a direct answer.
When driving me SS it runs like a dream but randomly the engine light comes on and cuts out, and wont kick back over straight away. might wait sometimes 30 second but then sometimes 10 mins till she kicks back over and im off again. And sometimes hot or cold wont kick over and again wait a while and its sweet as. Any correct advice would be appreciated. Cheers, Muzza

Next time it happens check if any error codes have been logged. Check all your battery, alternator and earth connections. Otherwise your ignition module or coil may be about to fail. Is the problem becoming more frequent?

I have had this fault in the past on a VR SS. That time is was the coolant temp sensor. Good idea to check the error codes, it might help pinpoint it.

yeah it is getting more frequent in the past week or so. Some electrical faults dont get logged and give false codes so thought id just grab some advise before i go get the diagnostic done. cheers

best to learn how to do the diagnostic yourself, search the forum their is good advice and the codes can be found

im putting my money on the ignition module on the passenger side strut tower

thats possible - about $250 exchange from Repco if you want to replace it

Mine vs did it and it turned out to be simple battery terminals the connected itself was stuffed could it be that ??
