Hey All,
My low fuel alarm and light has stopped working. Any Ideas?
Only thing I could suggest is disconnect the battery for 5 mins and reconnect - this will reset the ECU and can fix oddball faults at times. Does the handbrake light/alarm work? Good Luck.

everything else still works, almost ran out of fuel when i discovered it wasnt working anymore. Was thinkin Geeez this is great fuel economy from this tank! Do i need to reset the ECU or BCM?
Dissconnect the battery for a few mins should reset the ECU.
If the globe is OK and the chime works for the hand brake warning - I be sus of the trip computer itself. You can test this by disconnecting the sender unit at the tank = dead empty
I do this on my cluster test bench for level 3 clusters. I have a switch on the sender unit to kill it with. A few seconds later on comes the low fuel light.

I do not have a trip computer only analogue guage cluster with warning lights and chime. Does the Low fuel run off the same sender as the fuel gauge or does it have a seperate sender?

Hey. I was always told. If YOU look after the top half of the tank. The bottom half will look after itself. Don't run it so low on fuel and there is also a fuel gauge to look at.
I never rely on the fuel gause alone, always keep an eye on ODO as well.
In regards to the speed alert.... does this have something to do with the low fuel alert? because I have removed this and premantly mounted my GPS there!
wait.. LVL 3 clusters have this? mine doesn't chime at all, except speed alert. and i've never really let it fall past 1/4 tank.
but i have left the handbrake on before... lol
