not very accurate, they are more for giving you a rough idea of how far you could go before running out of fuel.

If you run full tank of fuel every week - just take note of the pump Lts and the tank Lts used - post up here and we can tell you what the numbers need to be.

The default numbers are 625 for distance and fuel flow (often reset by nasty car sellers to show good fuel ecconomy) With ign on press and hold the set button for 3 secs in each of the 3 modes and record the numbers.

I believe it's a good way to gauge fuel usage and deter heavy acceleration, as the DTE fluctuates as you drive, basically telling you, for example, if you've filled up and keep flooring it off the mark or to get up to speed you will get say 250k's to empty, if you correct that style of driving, half an hour or so later it will have changed to something more reasonable like 400 - 450 till empty. Does that make sense? Thats what mine does anyway!

The trip computer updates every 2 mins - so the longer you drive without resetting the more stable it gets. If you reset every tank full then it will jump around a little (bit like the 1 day cricket score graphs - smooth out to a more or less flat line that = the run rate).

When the car gets to less the 50kms to empty it starts to update every 30 seconds.

Press and hold the set button for 3 secs with the Ign on. While holding the the set button tap the up or down button to adjust to 625 for factory default setting. Do this for the distance and fuel flow.

The other mode is the fuel remaining in the tank. So the 60 and 80 switch on the bottom of the cluster sets the base numbers to work from and you adjust it up or down the same way. Needs to be done on level ground too.

See how it goes once the factory defaul setting are done.

Could be that the cluster is set to the wrong size tank. Is yours set to 60 or 80?

The 70L and 0cal looks to me that you have 70 lts fuel in the tank and it's calibration has not been changed.

There is a switch on the back of the cluster.

If it's an 80 Lt tank then it should be OK - unless the cluster has been changed at some point.

I found with my wagon (68 lt tank) that if I had it set to 80 it would give silly high readings with the DTE. I dont think that will be it for you tho if it's the original cluster in the car.
