hi all my last post about my vs had code 46,47,49 the problem was tht when i was driving the car once it got to running temp it would start surging mainly when i was on the drive home as i live up a big hill.
the car was also a little warmer than it should be but not at boiling temp.
I replaced the crank angle sensor, dfi module checked all wires and connection voltages/continuity of wires from dfi to ecu from dfi to crank sensor and continuity to cam sensor continuity from dfi to ecu all continuity was fine, some volt readings where suspect though when testing volts so i replaced the dfi like the book instructed, the car has the problem worse now tht i replaced the dfi it happens no sooner i try to start it, the engine runs rough like surges and then the engine light comes on i am thinking of trying another ecu just to rule out the ecu as being the problem does anyone else have any suggestions tht may help???.
i have not replaced the cam angle sensor as im replacing bits tht are not helping to much when the ecu clearly points out codes 46,47,49 tht points to the crank the cam and the dfi or replacement of the ecu i can get a ecu for nothing so im thinking i will try tht first before replacing the cam angle sensor tht i may not need .
any thoughts on why the problem got worse after replacing the dfi module???
Maybe add more info - how many K's...does car use coolant...ever overheated....when did this problems appear etc. Have you cleared the codes to see if they reappear?
