Default Advice on immobiliser for my VS commodore ute

I need help guys as I have started having problems with my ute.
everything was fine untill I drove it home from work and ran inside got some stuff and went to leave again, but I got in the car and nothing would happen when I turn on the car the stero just turns off and comes back on.
I then locked and unlocked my car and It started first go, because my mechanic was away I thought I would go around and see holden (costly mistake) and they buggered around and basically told me what I already know.
getting to the point im new to this site and this question has probably been asked before but I was wandering should I just leave it the way it is or turn off the imobiliser some how??
    Cheers

You can bypass the immobiliser by leaving the ignition key in the ON position for 45 minutes. The red LED immobiliser light will stop flashing once its bypassed,it will then start. But once its turned off again, you will need to wait another 45 minutes before it will start again. Its basically a safety backup so you can start it and drive it to get it fixed.Mr minit and similar places need a working ignition key so they can copy it,or the security code specific to your vehicle.Holden can access this security code with your VIN,they then use this security code to program new keys with a tech 1 scantool. Most holden dealers charge a fair bit for this service, but if your current ignition key is completely f****d,then you dont have much choice really.

i copy and paste this information , up in the right hand corner box , advance search i just type.... vs immobiliser.... and 10 pages popped up
any other probs do a search first... hope ths helps

Seems like the keyhead (FOB) does not have a good connection with the key reader or you need a new keyhead or replace the battery withing the keyhead.

for it to work it needs a good conection with the key reader. Which is the metal ring that goes around the keyhole. if it does have good connection then I would be looking at another BCM.
You can find them at the wreckers, just make sure you get the same level BCM and make sure they give you the keyhead.

Handy info. I'm guessing that's safe to do then? I can't remember where, but I remember someone doing something similar once and an ignition coil blew up or some such.
