No Spark....AGAIN!

Went to work and the car drove as per usual, then at about 9am I decided to go down to the shops to grab a bite to eat and the car wouldn't start? It had no spark..


I left it for about an hour and it fired up so I proceeded to the shops to get a my smoko then got back to the job fine, now after a shit day I go to get in my car and it wouldn't start!

I was trying to start it for about 2 hours (randomly) and it still wont throw spark?

Its currently still at the job after getting a lift home but obviously need the ute to get started in the morning as were finishing up and need to take everything with us.

The only thing I can think of that may be causing the issues is some sort of dodgy signal from the key head to the BCM. (if that's how it works)

Any ideas where I can start looking?

if its cranking its not keyhead related.

how are the points? that would be my first check. did it throw any error codes?

If it was the points, wouldn't it just stay the way it was? (not starting)

And I'll head back to the job now and check for codes, chances are it will start and i'll bring it home... But yeah I'll check it for codes...

ur right but my cuzin's hq faced a similar thing and to get him going he sanded the contact points until he upgraded to electric ignition.

how long after you've stopped till she'll start again? enough time to cool down?

well it wouldn't start after about 5 hours of rest... I just went and picked it up, so its going again now but im keen to get it sorted because im sure this will happen when I have some broad next to me after a date or something.....
