Hey past couple weeks had this creaking knocking noise in the front of my vs just had a wheel alignment done came out shitter then when it went in..I've replaced the upper control arm bushes and new link pin bush kit.. It knocks when it turn the wheel as I'm leaving the driveway or entering one or making u turn etc. just bought new set of outer tie rod ends but will get them replaced when the wheel alignment gets done.. Any other suggestions on what it could be if that doesn't fix it??
It could be one of the Z bar (Caster rod) bushes or even the inner bush.
Best bet to get a gregory's manual or equivalent as they show you what to check and how.
if your talking about a grinding noise when steering at low speeds i think i know what you mean.
i first got it after front struts were changed and a wheel allignment done.
i had the tie rods. and front strut bearings/mounts (single unit thing) changed.
had a wheel allignment.
drove it and it had the same creaking/grinding noise as when it went in to get it fixed (well another thing but anyway)
drove in this morning and could still hearing it.
got back and drove it this arvo and it was gone.
tie rods (about $24ea) and the mounts/bearing (about $35 ea) are pretty cheap and youll need another wheel allignment
maybe try those and give it a few days to settle in?
other then that im going to be no help to your cause.
but ill be back on if it comes back tomorrow when i drive it (could be temp related if it comes back?)
