Vs ute v6-v8 engine swap

Hey fellas just need some advice on engine swap I have a v6 vs ute that I blew the motor up in and
I got a really good condition v8 Motor and gearbox and loom from a friend dirt cheap and am wondering
If I have to swap the k frame underneath and anything else anyone noes of that needs
To be changed any help would be muchly appreciated cheers guys

If so the v8 is out of a vg ute can I use that k frame or do I have to get a vs v8 k frame just a little unsure cheers

Its a fairly straight forward swap.

You will need the K frame and tail shafts ect....

If the ute was an Auto you will need to make sure that the Auto selector is bridged so the car thinks its in (P) or (N) so it will start or just turn the selector till it starts.

You will need the V8 ECU also, but I have heard that its just the MemCal that needs changing, id be replacing the entire ECU though.

Other then that its just basic things that will stall you, it sounds like a big job but if you have a weekend free, a few car stands, trolley jacks, and an engine crane you will be in a V8, soon rather then later.

Cool cheers mate do you no if the vg k frame will fit on the vs because that's wot Donor is it's a vg

All the V8 k-frames are the same.

Hey fellas I got the engine and stuff in all good the only thing is the wiring mainly the trans harness the rest is ok the
Motor and g box has come from a vn/vg ute and I'm putting it into a vs I'm having trouble with mating in the trans
Harness as the vn/vg
Is a separate loom and the vs v6 one is part of the engine harness just not sure wot to do could any help would be
