    Default Vs statsman security problem

Howdy all I have a problem with my vs v6 statsman I'll start right at the beginning
My son decided to put my only key in the toilet and I tried to dry it out and see if it would still started the car and it didn't so I went to Holden and got a key redone to the bcm code and came home and tried to do the setup they tell you to do and nothing the only thing is that the alarm used to go off when I first got into the car but now I got the key redone it docent go off but the imobaliser stays on I can't get it to turn off so I got the code checked from Holden to see if it was right and it is and wile I was there they told me I can start the car if I leave the key on accessories for 1hour so I tried it and it worked? So it's a problem sonewere in the security? Is there any reason for this or a way I can take the security out or get it to start straight away

    Thanks brad

Getting the VATS disabled in the memcal is probably the easiest way to bypass it. Other than that, you could try getting another BCM and matching ignition key fob from a wrecked car and fitting them to your car.

Make sure that the contacts on your key are making proper contact with the slip ring around the ignition lock. You might have to lever the two halves of the slip ring up a bit.

Sounds like a problem with the ECU or with the memcal itself. If the VATS was disabled properly in the tune then it should still start, even if the VATS is still showing as being on.
