there is mikly oil on my oilcap took rocker covers off and there was a little bit of milky residue on drivers side rocker but none at all on pass side an none on dip stick any IDEAS??????
coolant getting into the oil - inlet manifold or head gasket would be the most common place.
Not good anyway you look at it tho![]()

But y only in 1 rocker and not the other as well as not being in the oil pan and only being a tiny amount thanks.
dont drive it any more you run the risk of killing the engine and as above inlet manifold gasket or heads gasket wont know for sure till you pull it down
because its probably only just recently started give it time now its started its all down hill from here
Would a finger nail amount worth of milky oil be an issue
Also no bubbles coming out of radiator and i also gave the engine realy big clean with a lot of water not so long ago could that also be a symtom
unless you had the oil cap off and got water in there i doubt it and its not whats there thats the issue its whats started it will progress and get worse if its that little you could probably get away with driving it around for a little bit but the longer you wait the worse it gets
A milky residue inside the rocker cover or the oil fill cap may not always indicate BIG problems.....it may just mean that the car has only been driven short distances which does not allow the oil to heat up enough to evaporate moisture etc.
Short runs will cause this problem, and this is worse in winter. If the car is not losing coolant then just keep an eye on it......if it is using coolant then it possibly is the inlet manifold gasket starting to leak coolant and even then, unless the engine was showing other problems, I'd just a a can of radiator "Stop Leak". Good Luck.
