hey dont know if this has been covered but when i put my foot down in my vs it makes a loud noise and vibrates realy bad am worried bout driven it like it is can anybody help me i have looked under car and everything seems fine exhuste doesnt move and gearbox seems fine
engine mounts?
ok that was what i was thinken and the first on the list of things to do as iv only just got the car
What's the noise sound like? Could be cv joints, engine mounts centre bearing..
Commodores are renowned for vibration when floored - this is due to many factors but basically is due to the light body and high power from the V6. It has been covered many time before and whilst some will claim success it will come at a cost.
Unless components like ephect lists in his informative post are worn, there is no point in replacing them....but that's just my opinion.

dont laugh at me for this,
i had same issue engine mounts fine everything else fine and still doing as you said and later on found a massive rock sitting on the y peice of the exhaust lol so check the top of the exhaust between that and the body floor
Searching for a needle in a haystack by asking this.
Go to suspension place and get them to take it for a drive to zero in and reduce time wasting.
ok thanks for ya help no rocks wish it was that easy the engine mounts do look worn so gunna change them in the new year and fingers crossed that that helps couse it worrying me. in reply to a post it is a loud noise somwhere from center to rear of the car the vibration is severe to the point where i slow right down and it is worse when i go up hills under acceleration. im only new to commodores so its a steep learning curve for me.
