is the throttle cable and or cruise control cable have some slack? The IAC should step out and in on key cycle, watch that it doesn't go flying.

i did that never to be seen again.....

but my iac was pretty stiff to push in and out, everyone i've had was pretty stiff.... ya could push em in and out but only just, and only slowly...

if ya can- pull the pin in the iac out a bit and put it back in throttle so its fully blocked off/seated (leave wires off) start it and see if its @ 3000rpm still... or take it out n stick ya finger in the hole or tape up the iac hole in throttle n see if it drop's.. will let ya know if its the iac or not

there not ment to be user adjustable, there a stepper motor. It will only log a fault code if it's stuck at extremes
