VS Interior Rear View mirror.

I need to get a rear view mirror from a VS put into my VR, which mount in different spots. I've yet to come across a used VS mirror which doesnt have a mounting tab broken. Would the mirror still mount up with a broken tab, or do I need to purchase a brand new rear view mirror if I want it to stay securely mounted?

the vs rear view mirror is plastic. mine fell off, and the plastic tabs broke off. I picked up a VT one (solid metal frame) and that glued up all ok. it cost $10
