    Hey guys
    I just brought a VR Exc (owned a Vk so this is a big step up for me) can anyone tell me some things about the car, like if the gear box is realiable engine power fuel consumption, how much does it cost for an exhaust..problems people have had in it, stuf like that

    any info would be awesome!!

    For exhaust on your VR, a cat back system would be the go. You can get them for $300-$350 installed depending on where you do. This should give it a nice tone

    Some usual problems including leaking power steering pump, if you have an auto, slight bumping sounds when accelerating in low gear, and a few other small problems. Be sure to check your radiator is working properly, mine turned out to be leaking and needed a new pump for that too. I was wondering why I had to keep filling it up with coolant heh.

    Generally they are good motors. Slap a Cold Air Intake onto it and you'll see marginal gains in power/economy, plus your engine will run a bit cooler.

    Thats all I can think of, Im sure many other people can add to the list of what to look out for
