My VS SLR5000 has an oil pressure problem.
The usual checks have been done, however, I have had an oil pressure problem with this car once in the past.
At the time the mechanic told me it was an "internal oil gallery plug" displacement which was overcome by pressurizing the engine to push the plug back into place. This seemed to fix the problem, however, a mere 1200 klms later the problem has re-occurred. The vehicle hardly gets used due to having a company vehicle and this is why the car only did 1200 klms in about 11 months. Now having read many posts on oil pressure problems I believe the problem is in fact most likely to be an oil pickup blockage issue.

As I have never had a first hand look at either of these situations I am hoping that some one can post or send me a photo or 2 of the internal oil gallery plug in and out of it's position. Also would appreciate any photos of the oil pickup in both clean & cruddy condition if possible.

The car is now in the hands of a different mechanic (as I am very sceptical about the oil gallery plug story) and I will get the result of his findings in a day or 2.
