my km per litre digital read out on my dash stay on 0 km per litre and when it does decide to work it reads all over the place.ive played around with the trip metre to try and reset it but with no sucess.would anyone know how to fix this fault or at least tell me where to locate the sender.my thought were around the fuel pump area but unsure, and dont want to go pulling out uneccessary wires.
Hey mate,
Does your fuel gauge work? Or is the problem just with the L/100km or Distance to empty?
EDIT: There isn't anything on the display that has km per Litre.
There is:
INST FUEL L/100km
AVG FUEL L/100km
FUEL USED L
DIST TO EMPTY km
ODO
O/SPEED
AVG SPEED
TRIP TIME
TRIP DIST
Which one are you talking about?

its the average litres per 100km,the fuel gauge works and the distance to empy display works but takes a while to register after you put more fuel in(probably a normal thing).

does anyone know what coud be the fault with the average litres per 100km.the distance to empty works fine.
The handbook says that the average litres per 100 km display is updated once every minute. It also says that when the function is first called up after resetting the trip computer, it may show some large numbers due to the short distance travelled and the higher fuel consumption during acceleration etc.
yeh it does this when it decides to work, but most of the time it just reads 0.my boss use to have a holden crewman v6,and his read all the time, and at 100km/h it would stay steady at the same number.some time it will come on when im doing 100km/h but even when i hold it steady at 100km/h it goes all over the place.would this problem be a loose earth or connection and if so where is it located?
