okey, so heres my questions
Will everything fit from the vn S2 motor to the vr S2 motor(everything I need to get the 5 speed manual up and running is on the VN) - so can i bolt everything up, or some things are different? if so, what will and what will not work... i realize i need to also make the speedo functional
i am only changing the gearbox from auto to manual, not the motor
otherwise, as sad as it seems, I could keep the VN (as it's pretty good nick,... ) just a fun skid car with 4.11 n mini spool - yes, i've had them installed before, and loved it, so it'll happen again
edit: my daily is an au 6cyl, so im not short of a car if you're wondering lol
From what im lead to believe; everything from VN S2 to the end of the VR's are the same.
So yes everything should be just a clean swap over.
My only concern would be the driveshaft.. Depending if your car has IRS/LSD im not sure if the connections would be the same.

its irs vr, everything lined up correctly, only had to change the front half of the tailshaft(auto is longer than manual, but not by a lot)
