    The cosmetical exterior changes are:
    1. Red boot garnish opposed to grey
    2. Series II badges above side indicators
    3. Dual nozzle wiper washers

    Not sure about the rest!

Had a quick look at a mate's SII Exec... the other things I noticed were:

    - The R/H exterior mirror was changed to a convex "objects in this mirror are closer than they appear" type as opposed to a regular flat mirror
    - The internal mirror fitment was changed to the windscreen as opposed to screwed on to the roof
    - The red boot garnish above applied (I think) only to Execs, the models that had a clear type one - Acclaim, Berlina, Calais - continued with the clear one

I've got a series one VR calais and it's got dual nozzle washers

were both the side mirrors convex on the series 2? because on mine the L/H mirror is convex and the drivers side one is flat

then your car has been in a smash and has had a new bonnet fitted. this is the only way they could be on unless like mine you bought the nossles and cut them down to fit as they wernt a straight fit and needed to be cut aswell as glued in

maybe I need to go look at the date on my car again.... it's late 1993 and it doesn't have any series II badges, but it's got a speed alert for sure...

Speed alert is part of the trip computer, so you will have one in your Calais.

On models without a trip computer a stand-alone speed alert was introduced with Series 2.

yeah you are the second person to say that, maybe these were on the calais and then upgraded on the "cheaper" models with series 2??
