Aircon issue

Done a bit of hunting through old threads and found nothing so sorry if it's been covered.
Just got home from work and on the way home the aircon just stopped working, had it on number 2 speed. Now it's only working on fan speed 3, nothing on 1 and 2. Anyone able to help me out? Some aircon is better than none but it started to feel like I was driving a freezer on wheels!
Edit: Just went out and realised the blower was still going even though the car was switched off. I recall reading about this but still can't find a usefull thread!!

I can remember reading about this fault and the answer....exact details elude me (old age and booze) but it's something to do with a relay sticking on I think.

It's your fan resistor. Pretty sure it's located under your wipers. ( have to remove the plastic cover)

+1 for this. If it only works on low and high, then it's the resistor.

heater fan amplifier (been a Berlina it will have climate control).

replace with a new part from Holden, or PM The1, i'm pretty sure he repairs them.

I should have realised you have climate control - wamboin23 definitely is on the money....(you do have climate control don't you???)

Yes, wamboin23 is spot on. I ended up finding a helpful thread late last night. Just got back from the wreckers and put one in I pulled out of a statesman and everything is ok again. Cheers for the help.
