whats transmissions are compatible with a 93 vr commodore im confused?

Auto transmissions? For a VR V6 you need a 4L60E type 3HDD or 4HDD that has the 12 pin electrical connector . The later VS type 6HDD is pretty much the same box, but it has 13 pins in its electrical connector, it will bolt up to the car no problems, but obviously it wont run properly. Lots of people have been caught out with this.
