Pulsating air noise, prob exhaust.

I thought this pulsing air noise was the crack i had in my manifold, so i got it welded. Its still making the noise, so it could be some other crack or somthing in the exhaust or somthing all together. Ive heard the noise on other cars before so i think its fairly common. anyone know what it is. It only happens under load.

could be a joint flange gasket leaking or a small hole in one of the mufflers....

im still learning. whats the joint flange? i thought it might be muffler related but the sound is definatelly coming from inder the bonnet.

oh ok, if you say the noise is definitely coming from under the bonnet then it could be the manifold gasket, its between the manifold and the head or it could be the join where the header joins to the exhaust.

is the manifold cast iron?
sometimes cast can be very hard to get a good weld and there could be a small hole through the weld

yeah i think its cast iron. normal vr manifold i think.
