    Default vn and vr tailshafts

im converting my vr calais automatic to a manual 5 spd VN gearbox, and was just wondering if the tailshaft from the VN will bolt up or is it different? or do i need a vr tailshaft?? sorry for such a noob question*thought i'd ask because im not sure

i would go and have a look , but im tired, its cold, and its dark out side i am 1/3 of the way through, tomorrow afternoon everything should be bolted in (but most likely not running)

if you have a vr commodore that has a solid axle you will be alright. unsure if solid axle tailshaft is the same as an irs tailshaft . The cv joint forward is the most important part. just check to see if the rear of the shaft, cv joint back is the same length as the vn one if it is it will fit

You should count the splines on the slip joint (auto and manual are different) but yes VN-VP-VR-VS driveshafts will all interchange, as well as IRS and Live axle.
