Default Having a puzzling issue with 95 VS Commodore Executive

    Hi Guys
Wondering if there is anyone out there that can help me with an issue I am having. It's kinda hard to explain so I'll do it in the simple fashion. If I drive my car from home (Bayswater) to work in Eltham, turn the car off and go to turn it on again straight away it won't start. It makes a sound as if the battery is dead or dying, however if I wait a few hours it starts fine. It only seems to do this on long trips, however doing multiple short trips can cause it to act the same. I have recently replaced the starter motor, had the battery checked and even gave it to a Holden dealership for 3 days who could not find a problem. The only thing I can think of is that I recently bought a new key from the locksmith. Could this be causing the problem? Would really appreciate any suggestions or ideas as this is really doing my head in.

On an unrelated topic does anyone know of anyone in the Bayswater area that would like to do some work on my commodore at a very cheap rate, say for free

Could be a bad connection somewhere such as dirty battery terminals or the alternator battery feed wire/terminal burnt out.

Does it turn over when it won't start? ......if it does nothing, try pressing the unlock button on the keyhead just before you turn the key to start. Also check that the red flashing light below the radio goes out - if still alight it means the immobiliser is still on. Finally try moving T Bar to N and try to start as inhibitor switch may be faulty.

Next time it happens.. Try turning the key back and forth through the aux (without trying to start the car) do this a couple of times, then pause for a little bit, repeat and then try and kick her over
