    Unhappy air conditioner compressor clutch

my compressor started making rattling noises when the clutch on compressor kicked in .Looks like the rivets in the clutch are rs.can they just replace the clutch or do i need another compressor.

The front end of the compressor is easily replaceable....I'd get a compressor from a wreck and remove the clutch assembly after checking first that it was OK. Should be able to be replaced with the compressor in the car.
This is the cheapest way - new comp is $450 plus regas $200 = $700 whilst comp from wrecker is $50 and no regas necessary but that is your choice.

Got a VT one here for $50 if you can use that to either fix clutch and such or replace the VR one. In caloundra as well.
