    Default Rear mudguards

Today when coming out of my rather horrible driveway, I as usual scraped the mudguards on the ground, it's an absolutely shocking driveway to be getting in and out of, it happens all the time, no matter how slow I go or what angle I go at, 90% of the time one of the mudguards scrapes the ground.

Anyway this time I find that the mudguard has come completely off, I pick it up and find there's still a few screws in it although the nut and bolt that keeps it on the inside is completely missing.

Anyway is not having a mudguard a defectable/roadworthy issue? If it isn't I'll leave it because I can only see it happening again, but if it is I'll put it back on as a matter of priority.

The mud flaps, the little bit of rubber thing that is directly behind the wheel, bolts/screws onto the rear quarter panel...

Missing a mudflap, or having no mudflaps is not a roadworthy issue. The only problem would be if it was on the car loose, it would have to be secured. Like XWGT351 said, just take them off, I also remove mine because they constantly scrape going up driveways. But thats because my cars are so low haha.

Cheers for that, I'll take the other one off tomorrow then, before it too falls off... and people don't get why I don't want to lower it anymore...

XWGT351, don't mind me sidetracking this but you don't have any pics of your XW GT or your Fairlane on here at all? I've always been a Ford man, it was only when I got a Commodore I realised what I was missing out on...
