VR 5.0L clunking noise while idling

Just got my VR SS 5.0L back on the road with a rebuilt motor & box. Due to work I couldn't do it myself & got my brother to (mechanic by trade). Everything went smooth all together started her up all good. Then we noticed a slight clunking/rattling noise coming from back of the motor. When it idles it's load once revs r applied the noise goes away. We think it sounds as though it's comin from somewhere near bell housing. Checked exhaust & everything else & it all fine. Any suggestions. Thanks.

Sometimes the dust cover (on both manual and auto) aren't refitted correctly and the flywheel/ flexplate bolts can rub on the cover. Ive made this mistake on both man and auto.

Could be a possibility???
