    Default distributor woes

Hi guys, wiring that comes into back of dizzy came loose and to cut a long story short has ended up being too short to connect. I need to connect it with a connecter inside dizzy, but as you all know, not much room and dizzy a mare to pull out. So..... my question is... can I cut dust plate to get to wire or is dust plate something more than a cover to stop dust?

You need to get a "crow foot" spanner to loosen the distributor nut to get the distributor out.
