Default VS S Pack - Clutch?

Hey all, Cause I get my p's soon I'm looking at cars to buy, manual and preferably a vs

I went to a caryard today just to take a look at one that I had spotted on eBay and was interested in (a white s-pack) and as all 16 year old cars go, it needed a few small things tidying up which didn't concern me cause it only cost 4k (I can easily negotiate to 3.5) and it was a factory manual, something I've been looking for for ages

anyways I was just sat in the drivers' seat talking to a mate and then I dipped the clutch in and was shocked at how much force I actually had to put on the pedal itself to dip it in, the only other cars ive driven are a vz sv6 and a 2002 astra and they don't require much force at all but I mean this seriously felt heavy!

Are Vs clutches heavy by nature? or is this one ####ed? This car seriously seems like the one with a bit of work making it look cleaner :/

    thanks

What series vs? Series 1 run the t5 box wich is cable clutch. Anything after is getrag wich run a hydrolic clutch wich is alot smoother. Being a 16 year old car I'd imagine that clutch has been change and probably with a heavy duty one. Also if it's at a car yard it wouldn't be driven much with could course the clutch cable to get stiff. Happens in my vr manual all the time.

Be carefully of car yards haha

Yeah man it's 1995 so it's a late series 1 I think, but it feels very stiff even if it were replaced with a heavy duty one
I am not sure if I will buy it because I hate S pack body kits and getting an executive one will be a pain in the arse :/

Mines a t5 clutch and its heavy to push in , but when your driving you can hardly feel it , but i like it that way .

yeah just looked at it again and the front end doesn't look original at all as if it's been in a small bump

guess I'll be giving that one a miss; but thanks for answering the question man, I'll bear it in mind when I go to see others
