VR Gearbox Change??

Does anyone know if a VT gearbox will fit into a '94 VR and if so how difficult would it be to do a change over??

The box will physically bolt up as far as I know, but the wiring connectors are different so it wont run, these boxes are all electronically controlled by the ECU so the wiring obviously has to all be correct. The VR has 12 pins in its connector, the VS and VT etc use 13 pins in the connectors.
